I love styled sessions, and Fall is without a doubt my favorite season. I got with some of my favorite vendors to see if we could put together a Rockabilly inspired fall bridal shoot, and boy did they deliver! Florals provides by the amazing www.blossomandvase.com, hair and makeup by Bree Samples, dress provided by the White Room In Lebanon, and our lovely model is Miss Kiersten Hull! I absolutely loved the oranges and reds in the bouquet and the denim really gave the look such a fun twist! Check out some of my favorite images below!
In Home Nashville Newborn Session
Miss Valerie made her appearance last week, and I couldn’t WAIT to get to photograph her and her mom and dad. I did her Mama’s maternity session, and let me tell you, SHE. IS. STUNNING. If you haven’t seen that, hit up my instagram account, www.instagram.com/morgantaylorphotography . I like to keep my in home newborn sessions SUPER relaxed. I want baby, mom, and dad in their most natural state. I really love to talk to mamas about their birth story and make sure that they are as comfy as possible (because new mamas need some love, too. AM I RIGHT?!) We did a few in a rocking chair of mom and dad looking at baby. These have always been some of my favorites. Moms and dads spend countless hours staring at little babies in their rocking chairs, and you can always see how much they love their little one. If you’d like to set up a newborn session in the Nashville area, email me or fill out contact form! I can’t wait to capture your little ones first days!
CASCATA SPRINGS WEDDING
Haley and Justice picked a GORGEOUS venue. Cascata Springs is an Italian style villa, nestled in the Tennessee Hills. It features a GORGEOUS pond, covered porch, a waterfall, and plenty of windows in the house to get those PERFECT getting ready pics. We had such a fun day celebrating their marriage, and you could just feel the love between them ALL DAY. I’ve known them both for a very very long time, so I was so excited when they asked me to capture their day. They had a super beautiful summer color scheme, filled with sunny yellows and floral prints. New Brides: you should totally take a page out of Haley’s book!

SPRING GIRL GROUP SESSION
Ok, I firmly believe that if you have a girl gang, you need some bestie pics. These were SO. MUCH. FUN. We chose to go with a spring, outdoorsy, whimsical feel, but you could totally take this downtown or even in your home. Heck, get in your pajamas, bake some cookies together and do facials and just have a photographer there to capture it. This could be a totally awesome gift to get your girls and its a GREAT girl date idea. I’d absolutely LOVE to capture your group of friends in a way that is unique to you. Just email or fill our my contact page and we can set it up! <3 Enjoy some from our session!
Tennessee Red Barn Wedding
Savannah and Drew got MARRIED! It was such a beautiful day, despite the rain! They were married at a new venue in Westmoreland, Tennessee. When it is finished, I will give you all a preview of the venue space (Its GORGEOUS) In the meantime, enjoy some of my favorite shots from the day. It rained the entirety of our bridal portrait sessions, but luckily they have a covered porch!
Moody Summer Park Engagement
I’m SO excited about this beautiful engagement session from Saturday. Savannah and Drew were finally available for their complementary engagement session (every bride receives this upon booking), and the wait was absolutely worth it. We got to try out a few new prompts and I got to explore a new location. We took these at Saunders Ferry Park in Hendersonville, Tennessee. I will ABSOLUTELY be using this location for future engagement sessions.
Kerri+Jacob's Wedding | Romantic Country Wedding | Portland, Tennessee
I was honored to be able to capture this BEAUTIFUL wedding at Bottom View Farm in Portland, Tennessee. This was my first of many weddings of 2019, and the weather was absolutely perfect ( I was a little worried it would be cold and rainy). Enjoy some of my favorites from their blush pink barn wedding!
Vintage Downtown Portrait Session
Sometimes you just need a super fun portrait session to let you fall in love with Photography again. I had SO MUCH fun with this lady. I honestly had no idea what the style of this shoot would be until she showed up in a striped shirt and high waisted jeans. It then hit me! 70s Vintage ALL. THE. WAY. We took these photos in Gallatin, Tn (The nicest place in America, by the way), and there are so many beautiful, colorful walls to choose from. There is also two huge murals that add a cool effect to the images. Hannah was an absolute babe in these, and I’m so excited to show her the rest of her gallery. Here’s a few tips for photographers/instagramers when trying to get that perfect pic.
Match the outfit to the background. Got a pink shirt? Find a pink wall.
Shoot from the hip. It gives the image a more editorial vibe.
Choose your edits wisely. I found a great film preset for FREE at http://meridianpresets.com >> make sure to check out their other products. They are SO GOOD.
Kiersten & Tyler
Let's talk location. I live in a very very rural area, unfortunately. I love being out of town where everything is quiet, but it gives you very very limited options for style. For this reason, most of my shoots have been pretty outdoorsy. It's either rustic or southern, and it's almost always outside. For this shoot, I decided to step out of the box a little bit. I have always been a little afraid of shooting in the woods because the light is often patchy and it leaves heavy shadow on my clients' faces. On this day, though, we ran out of options and I decided to go with it. I took Kiersten and Tyler out to the woods behind our house with a blanket and decided to work with what we had. I love how the edit makes everything look super moody. The bright colors on the blanket create a beautiful contrast with the dark, wintry environment around them. It also doesn't hurt that they are the cutest couple ever.
Erin & Joey
Can you believe it's already the end of OCTOBER?! Fall sessions are in full swing, and most people are either getting updated family photos or they're booking engagements left and right. Lets face it, Fall is one of the most beautiful times to get portraits done. The colors are beautiful, it's not blistering hot, and fall fashion is definitely a favorite in Tennessee. This is one of my favorite shots from our session on Saturday, October 21. The pop of red in the trees gives the perfect contrast to the green background, and can't you tell they're so in LOVE?! Joey and Erin are in a long distance relationship, so it was such a joy getting to capture the happiness and excitement they felt getting to be together (even if it was just for a little while). I've got so many more couples sessions lined up for the rest of the year! Can't wait to share.
